Restorative Dentistry

Restore the Strength, Beauty and Confidence of Your Smile

While preserving your natural teeth is always preferred, there are times when tooth replacement options are the best choice to renew the strength, beauty and function of your smile.

Our team is highly trained and will guide you through your restorative dentistry treatment plan. We offer the following options to meet your every need:

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a safe, durable replacement for missing teeth. Using the latest techniques, we ensure efficient and stress-free treatments. Your implants may be paired with a replacement crown for full tooth replacement or they may be used to anchor dentures. We’ll recommend a tooth replacement plan to meet your individual needs, helping you realize the following benefits of dental implants:

  • Restore your smile
  • Improve your oral health
  • Improve your speech
  • Improve comfort and function
  • Promote healthy bone structure
  • Provide long-term tooth replacement solution

Dentures

Dentures are a removable replacement for one or more missing teeth. They’re used to restore both function and aesthetics. Dentures are custom fabricated to fit your mouth and match the appearance of your natural teeth. The fit of your dentures can be adjusted as needed to ensure comfort and proper function.

A complete set of dentures replace the full upper or lower set of teeth, while partial dentures are used to replace one or more teeth when some natural teeth remain.

You should clean your dentures regularly using a soft bristle toothbrush and a non-abrasive cleanser. Keep your regular dental appointments as recommended. Dentures should be replaced every 5-10 years.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings are a safe, effective solution to help preserve your teeth. They are made of tooth-colored, composite resin that is strong, durable and visually appealing.

To place these fillings, we’ll gently remove decayed tissue and immediately place your filling to help prevent further damage and maintain proper tooth function.

Inlays And Onlays

Inlays and onlays are dental restorations that are used as an alternative to full coverage dental crowns. These dental restorations offer a well-fitting, strong, long-lasting solution to tooth decay. Inlays and onlays can also be used in place of dental fillings. While dental fillings are molded into place within the mouth during a single dental visit, inlays and onlays are fabricated in a dental lab before being fitted and bonded to the damaged tooth.

An inlay restoration is when the material is bonded within the center of the tooth. An onlay restoration is like an inlay restoration except the extent of the damage requires inclusion of one or more cusps (the pointed portion of the tooth on the biting surface) on the tooth. Both inlays and onlays are highly durable and with proper care can last for many years.

Inlays and onlays offer a great restorative option for individuals who have large, failing restorations, lost fillings or fractured cusps. The advantages of inlays and onlays include:

  • Tooth color
  • Superior fit
  • Tight space protection
  • Strength and stability
  • Tooth structure safeguard & weak tooth protection

Dental Crowns

As we age, teeth naturally begin to weaken – leaving them more susceptible to problems such as decay, cracks or discoloration. Crowns are typically made from porcelain to provide both strength and a natural appearance. Once treatment is complete, routine brushing and flossing will help ensure your crown functions well and lasts for many years.

If needed, dental crowns can:

  • Protect a weak tooth from breaking
  • Hold a cracked tooth together
  • Cover and support a damaged or decayed tooth
  • Cover a severely discolored tooth
  • Restore a broken or severely worn tooth
  • Serve as an anchor for a bridge

Bridges

A dental bridge from Jeffrey T Bonk DDS is a cost-effective solution to replace missing teeth. Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. Tooth replacement helps avoid remaining teeth from shifting or surrounding into the empty space. In fact, if left untreated, structural changes to your mouth and jaw may occur – causing difficulty with eating, speaking and other dental functions.

A dental bridge is custom-made to match your natural teeth in color, size and shape. We use strong and durable materials for your restoration. With appropriate at home and professional care, your dental bridge can last for many years.
